There is a new candidate for city council and he looks really good! His name is Eli Arnold, and he’s a bike officer who is now running for city council. Arnold is a registered Democrat and a Moderate.

“I’m running for City Council because Portland is a great city, but our leaders have bungled every major crisis we’ve faced in the last five years. Don’t despair, we can make rapid progress in restoring the health and optimism of our city!
We can end free for all camping and better deploy our social service resources at the same time. We can begin to demand accountability for the use of the tremendous resources we give to city hall. We can fix our public safety system so 911 calls get immediate response. We can empower our police officers to target fentanyl distributors and the perpetrators of gun violence.
