I continue to support Sam Adams. Listen to this April 5 debate. Sam is the best candidate for district 2 and will be able to create real positive change, based on his experience, and knowledge of the important issues and concerns.

“Dear Neighbors,
If you can't see the problem, recognize it, or won't call it out, you can't fix it.
Well, I'm the only candidate in my race who is calling it out: Multnomah County is deeply dysfunctional. Its top decision-making too often lacks focus, urgency, partnerships, and accountability.
PLEASE DONATE TO THE ONLY DISTRICT 2 CANDIDATE
CALLING OUT THIS COUNTY DYSFUNCTION
A fundamental dysfunction: The Oregonian reported on March 23rd that County chairs have given themselves:
“…unparalleled power to block proposals she doesn’t like."
Based on a legal opinion I requested from local law firm Stoel Rives, we now know this rule is probably illegal, too, The Oregonian just wrote:
“Multnomah County chair’s unparalleled power to block fellow commissioner proposals is illegal, analysis claims.”
The county's response? “This is the first assertion we’ve heard that the county’s years-old practice may violate the charter."
PLEASE DONATE NOW TO HELP SAM CONTINUE TO BE THE
“FIRST” TO RAISE CORE COUNTY PROBLEMS AND OFFER SOLUTIONS
The problems we face, like drug addiction, mental illness, homelessness, and crime, didn't need to get so bad or go on so long if we had a more effective County government.
And, County Commissioners cannot represent their needs of their constituents, like I would proudly for North and Northeast Portland!
Please donate now, I would sponsor a County Board resolution to repeal this undemocratic rule.
We can't afford to wait years for others to learn the levers to change big bureaucracies like Multnomah County; I would hit the ground running proudly representing North and Northeast Portland’s District 2.
Voter pamphlets are arriving; I'm on pages M-37. Ballots are mailed in three days.
