Amazon is needed for older and disabled Americans, but often problematic.

Does Amazon pressure positive reviews by customers? Do they censor negative reviews? Looks like they do!

Correction: I referred to SHERWOOD, Anderson as Sherman Anderson. Another mental blip. I apologize for the error. :)

If you want to buy this title, Winesburg, Ohio, a novel by Sherman Anderson, don’t buy it HERE. Because this book from 1919 has been PIRATED.

Can we fight book piracy?

If you would like to read this wonderful book, you can read it here, in PDF form, from this educational website. First edition copies of this book, this one featured blow, Winesburg, Ohio sell for up to $10,000!

I guess I won’t be able to afford that!

Be warned about book pirating that occurs on Amazon, because it happens regularly. There are ways to notice the red flags, and the main one is if a book from the turn of the century is republished, as the above title was republished in 2021.

Another red flag is if the book is full of typos.

I provide commentary on local Portland politics, the dubious Portland Art, the snobs of the Portland "Literary" scene, and the good folks of the Portland poetry scene. I also write creative nonfiction, historical profiles, along with Gonzo journalism.
