She was incredibly kind to write it. 😊 I hope you enjoy it. It's full of sad true stories. LOL..
The reference was to my older sister Margaret, about 1970 when I was 4 and Maggie was 12… She could do anything. And she was tough. I begged to go, but I was "too little" and had to stay home. That didn't stop me. I waited till she left and then followed close behind, and snuck into the bushes to watch. it was funny and sad.
The good old days, when fun was freaking people out into thinking they'd killed someone. The old lady who cried, while the kids laughed and jeered made me sad. I was always a shrinking violet as a kid. Any child or animal suffering would put me over the edge...
OMG, what a great introduction. I want to start reading your story right now!!
Isn't it the best? I'm so honored that she took the time to read it and that she was that impacted by it. :)
“Fun was throwing life-like dummies at drivers to make them think they’d run over someone.”
Damn! How come my brother and I never thought of doing that?
Theresa, that’s the kind of fun indicating a truly creative mind! With Marilyn Deutsch’s introduction, I can’t wait to read your book.
