My Moby crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, January 5, 2025. Rest in Peace my sweet boy.

Moby and his older, much smaller brother, Little Jack are reunited. According to the animal Medium I saw, this is what Thea Strom said would happen.

First of all, I am horribly, deeply, tragically sentimental, so please bear with me. Losing animals, for me, has always been far more painful than losing people.

Dogs are beloved for a reason. Because they help us. They provide comfort, companionship and love, and don’t judge us when we make mistakes or are careless with the feelings of others.

Moby Kennedy DuPay was my sweet, adorable little dog. We called him “The Thinker” because he was so different to his brother Little Jack who was born first and was four hours older, and half the size of Moby.

We are not owners to animals, we are their Kahu.

Moby was special and had an impressive emotional intelligence for a little dog. He was intuitive, and stayed out of the way if things were hectic, unlike his older brother Little Jack.

But Moby could be protective too, even when he got old and his bark wasn’t as sharp as it used to be.

And together they formed such a loving bond. They adored each other.

  • Thea Strom is a young woman originally from Norway, (still with a bit of an accent) as she came to the US as a young girl. She is a fine animal Medium and I cannot recommend her enough.

I hope my Moby is at peace, and no longer confused or in pain. He was such a fine, fine boy. And I will always remember the sweet, carefree times we had in the past.

Boats against the current, Borne back ceaselessly into the past.
