This is so true: “I have seen lawlessness create criminogenic families from otherwise good folks, who often end up feeling that consequences for crime and predation simply do not apply to them.”
Politicians like Avalos and Morillo are so fixated on police accountability, they don’t see how their own politics enable and reward criminal behavior. Without the cops and prosecutors, who will hold criminals accountable?
From Avalos' newsletter: "The fight continues! While we secured important victories last week, I'm not done advocating for District 1. Next week, I'm introducing three more amendments that address police accountability, affordable housing preservation, and mental health services:
Police Accountability: Moving $15.1 million in police overtime funding under council oversight, ensuring transparency and accountability in how these dollars are spent. "
They will become increasingly unpopular and like Chloe and JoAnn, may evolve into one hit wonders. Bottom line, they think they’re smarter than they are and are completely ignorant of math, and how police play an integral part of a city’s health and sustainability.
One or all of them may learn the hard way how public safety works. If they find themselves in a desperate situation where they have to call 911, and have to wait an hour or more before help arrives…
They think they’re smarter than they are and think they have it all figured out. They remind me of my daughter when she was about 4-years-old. LOL…
I’ve emailed all of them with concerns and like the cowards that they are, not one of them have responded. All of them fragile snowflakes who run from accountability…fearful, cowards.
