I would look into the lobbyist for PGE. I believe PDXReal did a piece on this and if I remember right they might be one of our utility companies that donated to Tina Kotek's campaign for Governor. 🤑 These increases are to pay for the GREEN energy. As they shut down our current form of producing electricity we should soon see blackouts like California has. BTW the lower income people can't afford to move. They are actually getting rid of the middle class or the people that are better off financially. What you will end up with is slums of poor people. 😫

Yes, the disappearing middle class, and driving the poor farther west and east, but also creating places like NW, and downtown as only viable places for the rich to live because no one else can afford the prices. No wonder people are buying acreage and living off the grid…

The intent is to revitalize the downtown core. Having the wealth centrally located down there is the only way that is going to happen. Which in my opinion means pushing the homeless and the crime further out to SE where people don't vote. In turn the politics won't change much. The voters will be the people who aren't dealing with lack of law enforcement and the mentally unstable running all over their streets. They'll be in their ivory towers wondering why people are complaining and discounting them. After all how long have we heard the lie "Crime is Down?" 😫

And slums of poor people will be more inclined to vote for Democrats -- who promise to throw them alms.

I think you’re right about that. Though I know of many people who vote smarter now because of what they saw Schmidt and Jessica do to Multnomah county… can’t wait til they’re both history. They won’t be remembered favorably and they won’t be missed.

I’m still concerned though. Big money leaders so far are Steph Routh, Candace Avalos and Angelita Morillo. They are all basically retreads of Joanne Hardesty.
