I read this yesterday and was not surprised. I for one voted for Betsy Johnson and have never cared for Kotek. She reminds me of a bully and will do anything to get her way.
I’m also not impressed with anything she has done. She halts bottles being collected at several stores with huge issues and when she does that problems disappear. However it was only for a short period of time and she should have made it permanent. The bottle bill is a whole other subject.
Her 90 day fentanyl emergency did nothing as well.
I don’t think I can ever vote for her and this wife issue is the icing on the cake for me.
You don’t mix business with pleasure and Kotek doesn’t seem to understand that boundary.
I’m surprised very little is being done about this and not much negative press either. If this were a Republican the entire Democratic Party would be looking for heads to roll.
We didn’t elect her wife and she doesn’t deserve a seat at the table. I’m so sick of hearing about lived experience making someone an expert.
You can go into any local watering hole and find a bunch of drunks with the same lived experience. Would anyone consider inviting them to the table to offer their lived experiences. Of course not. Kotek’s wife shouldn’t be there either.
Sorry for the rant but this situation is just so outrageous to me. I lived in Washington for 35 of my adult life years and we never ever had a governor’s spouse butt into the governor’s work
Oh my GOD, I love your comments here. I agree 100 percent with everything. Love it. It's true, you can go into any bar or tavern and find a drunk willing to talk about how hard their life has been but should they be making policy decisions, especially if their work history is as spotty and weak as Amy Jo/Amiee Kotek Wilson's has been? LOL... great comments Aileenkelly!
